Position Openings

Job Title: Stage Manager
Production: Maladies by Chris Sherman ( eMBer’s 2025 New Play Program Play)
Rehearsal Time Frame: Begins week of February 24th to show close
Production Dates: Fridays and Saturdays April 4th-April 19th Matinees: April 6th and April 13th at 2pm
Compensation: Paid position based on percentage of net ticket sales

Job Description

The Stage Manager will oversee all aspects of production coordination during rehearsals and performances. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the performing arts. The Stage Manager is a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of all performances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and lead rehearsals, ensuring schedules are adhered to.

• Maintain clear communication between directors, cast, crew, and production staff.

• Create and distribute rehearsal schedules, production notes, and call sheets.

• Oversee technical rehearsals, including lighting, sound, and scene changes.

• Maintain the production prompt book (script and blocking/staging notes).

• Manage backstage operations during performances.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all cast and crew during rehearsals and performances.

• Handle production-related administrative tasks and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Stage Manager or in a similar role.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Ability to work evenings and weekends

• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a theater environment.
